The numbering system is as follows. First number= Length; Second Number is bore size (the larger the bore the bigger the sound), Additionally a B (Brilliant) indication is a bore style for an even bigger sound; the third number indicates how far the reed goes onto the bocal. So a 2 B13 12 would be a #2 length bocal with the largest (13) size bore and Brilliant indication, and with the reed going further down onto the bocal (12)
